Heathrow Terminal 5
London’s main airport, Heathrow, gets a brand new terminal at the end of this month when Terminal 5 finally opens. Heathrow has a reputation as being very overcrowded with terminals that are patched up, not user friendly and definitely not designed for the passenger numbers they take.

TNT Travel Show
TNT, the listings and information magazine aimed at Aussies, Kiwis and South Africans living in London, are holding their annual TNT Travel Show this week on Saturday 8 March at the New Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden.
The show is free, running from 9.30am-6pm, and is a chance to get inspiration and great travel information on places you’d like to visit in 2008. Dozens of exhibitors will be on hand with travel agents, tourist boards, tour operators, accommodation providers, travel equipment suppliers and overland operators all offering advice or deals.

Brazil-Sweden Tickets
Tickets for the Brazil v Sweden football friendly at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium are now on general sale to the public. The game is taking place on Wednesday 26 March 2008 with kickoff at 7.45pm.
This is Brazil’s third trip to the Emirates in the last couple of years and the previous two games have had a good atmosphere. Tickets for this month’s game are on sale from £30-£40 and can be booked online at

London International Dive Show
The ExCel Centre next to the Royal Victoria Dock hosts the two day London International Dive Show this week from 8-9 March.
This annual show offers over 250 exhibitor stands in its main hall covering all aspects of diving from learning, certification and equipment, through to dive holidays and special items such as underwater cameras, diving leisurewear, books and accessories.
