Olave House Hostel - Trekker’s Hostel Highlights

Olave house After hearing all sorts of nasty rumors about this establishment, ranging from bedbug infestations, rats on the loose and harassment, I felt it only fair to go and see for myself. Well, I got as far as the reception desk and was met by a manager who made numerous excuses to why I could not look around finally ending with “well it’s a bit dirty at the moment”. According to the manager they are planning on changing from being listed as a hostel to more of long term housing, so this would not be one of the better hostels in London.

I wish that I could offer you a fair and unbiased view of Olave House but I fear, considering I was faced with the fact that even the manager did not want me to look around, I might have to agree with the rumors and suggest that backpackers avoid staying here.

Located at 43-45 Longridge Road, just a few blocks from the Earl’s Court Station, Olave House might offer a cheaper stay, but even the area did not feel as safe as you might hope.
