British airport security

air.jpgThe Telegraph has a story today about BAA (British Airports Authority) promising that the time taken by 95% of passengers to get through security checks at Britain’s main airports will be down to five minutes by next year, and only 1% will take more than 15 minutes. BAA says more money, staff and better technology will make its promises reality along with the government’s decision to allow passengers to resume taking more than one piece of hand luggage on board again from next year.

You would hope they’ve got something worked out by now, passengers spending hours in tents at Heathrow during the busiest times of the year has become a familiar sight and turns travelling into a bit of a nightmare.
