Search for cheap airfare to London Luton and book a flight to London
As the fourth busiest of London’s five international airports, Luton Airport (code: LTN) still ranks as the fifth busiest in the whole of the United Kingdom. The airport has become popular in recent years as several low-cost airlines have started using it as a base for cheap flights to London. There is also a decent amount of charter flights into London Luton, and some corporate jet traffic as well, but the majority of flights are to and from other smaller airports within Europe.
London Luton is about 30 miles outside the city center, and it’s fairly time consuming to get between the airport and central London, so this isn’t the best choice for those relying on public transportation. If you’ve got plenty of time this might be worth it, but if a flight into Luton is only a bit cheaper than into one of the other London airports it might be worth it to pay a bit more and fly into one with easier connections.
When checking on flights into London it’s a good idea to use the airport code LON, which will check all 5 airports at the same time. There are different low-cost airlines flying into each of the airports, so you might find a better deal into another one.
Flights from Europe to London Luton
Since several major low-cost airlines like easyjet and Ryanair have flights into London Luton, it’s important to be careful exactly which airports these flights leave from. They do serve some major capitals and other large cities throughout Europe, but often these will be through second or even third-tier airports in the other cities as well. If you have to spend an extra hour on each end and then pay an extra €10 for transportation on each side as well then some of these low fare bargains aren’t quite as cheap anymore.
Flights from elsewhere into London Luton
At this time there are no scheduled services from Africa, Asia, or North America. If you are starting in any of those places you’ll likely need to fly into Heathrow or Gatwick, although Stansted does have some limited services from these areas.
