The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Conspiracy are two of the best action movies of the last five years and the third film based on the books by Robert Ludlum, The Bourne Ultimatum, gets its London and European premiere next Wednesday 15 August.
It’ll take place at the Odeon Leicester Square and the stars should be arriving around 6pm. A number of sites are running competitions to win tickets to the premiere including The Mirror, The Sun, MTV Hits and SkyCast. Try them out if you fancy some red carpet treatment. Below is the trailer for what should be a great movie.
Most ideas that effect our modern lifestyles seem to originate on the west coast of the US and here’s another which could be hitting the UK pretty soon, FlexPetz. Its basically pet ownership for people who don’t have the time or space to own their own dog fulltime and instead sign up as a FlexPetz member and share the cost of looking after the dog with other similar people and get the pet a couple of times a month.
The business was founded by Marlena Cervantes of San Diego and currently operates there and in Los Angeles, although she’s opening up in San Francisco in August, New York in September and interestingly London by Christmas.
The weather in London is very changeable at the moment, I played golf yesterday evening and it was a lovely blue sky with a light wind, today its thunder and lightning, the rain is hammering it down and the sky is very dark.
It doesn’t actually feel cold, the temperatures are around the 20C/70F mark but if you’re heading here it’ll be a good idea to bring a raincoat or waterproof jacket as the next week or so is meant to be wet. Here’s the current five day forecast for the London …

It unlikely London Mayor ‘Red’ Ken Livingstone will have sent any good wishes to Robert Tuttle the American ambassador on US Independence Day today. Livingstone has previously called him a ‘chiselling little crook’ and recently said he’d like to crush Tuttle in his car because the US Embassy quite rightly refuses to pay the extortionate London congestion charge.
As the mayor’s such a miserable bastard I’ll do the honours for him and wish all US visitors to London a happy 4th July.
Transport for London(TfL) is organising the London Workplace Cycle Challenge 2007 from 6-29 July to encourage more people to cycle to work and to tie in with the Tour de France starting in London. The challenge involves work teams under a nominated ‘Directeur Sportif’ recording how much they individually and collectively cycle, how far, the number of riders and the number of new people that get to start cycling, all going towards three challenges based on the coloured jerseys worn by leaders in the Tour de France, yellow, green and white.
To join the challenge participants need to register online by Friday 29 June
