Blaine update

As a way of getting yourself a load of publicity, sitting in a perspex box and doing nothing for 44 days seems an inspired move.

David Blaine doesn’t look like he’s won over the crowd yet, but switch on the tv and radio or pick up a newspaper and he’s getting plenty of comment.

Maybe one of the BootsnAll guys would fancy the challenge to raise their profile even more.

We were in Bangkok when this guy started and he was on the morning news (BBC world). Looks interesting as far as the challenge goes - but is he really risking his life? If he get hungry he can just bang on the box and say “feed me”

The guys who go balloning or climbing Everest etc…you can’t just say part way through - I’m done -take me back home.

44 days in a perspex box is one thing, but could he stand 4 years in a 10ft by 10ft room with the other Boots boys?

Today’s New York Times reported on the abuse and unwelcome he has been giving. The media thinks he’s a jerk and it seems you guys have no idea what the point is about.

My girlfriend was approached by him here on the streets to a card trick with him on camera. She thought he was a person that was too much in his head and no warmth about him.

Talk to you later,

I think David Blaine needs his head checked out. I saw him once and that’s it for me, never again! It’s pointless, the only thing funny about it is that EVERYONE teases him with food. But for 44 days, that would get tiring. Just one question David, why? I just don’t see the point, anyone could do it who set their mind to, i could! But i’m not dumb and i generally be practical about eating and what i do from day to day.

No one sees the point about that guy???
Well, he’s made a 1 million pounds for the challenge, in 44 days, either he makes it or not…
I think that’s one million good reasons
