Bollywood map of London

In a sign that London is appealing as a film location to more than just British and American productions, Film London and Visit London have today launched a new movie map highlighting places that have featured in recent Bollywood films, over 40 of which filmed some or all of their prodution in London.

Adrian Wootton, who’s the CEO of Film London says ‘this map demonstrates Bollywood’s real contribution to London’s economy, its cultural vibrancy, and status as an international centre for film production. Bollywood films also offer a unique take on some of London’s iconic landmarks, giving Londoners the opportunity to see them in a new light and showcasing the capital on cinema screens across the globe.’

Here’s a clip from one of those films, Salaam-e-Ishq, where the dance number is filmed at Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s and the Millennium Bridge among other places.
