A warning to anyone splashing out on a dinner in top London restaurant.
Don’t take the waiter’s recommendations at face value, he might know his wines but not your bank balance.

Apparently restaurants add a 300 per cent mark up on wine prices.

I got burned at a restaurant here in Bali for a grilled fish. Thr meals I usuallu go for are maybe 40,000rp max for Indonesian. The menu said ‘grilled fish - price according to season’.

I had a beer, bought a friend a drink and the bill was 190,000rp. Burned!

Isn’t that the truth - only you know your financial state!

Getting burned is not a good feeling but it certainly is useful in future similar experiences.
