We can’t do both

Another dent to London’s 24 hour city claim, the tube can’t run late at night and early morning at the same time.

Transport for London wants to run trains until 2am on friday and saturday nights, great for people out partying but not so good if want to catch a train to Heathrow in the morning for an early flight, because they won’t start running before 7am saturday and 8.30am sunday.
What’s the secret other cities have of making it work.

In London the local politicians pay way too much attention to unions who are out for themselves. They place a higher value on a system badly run by a few people htan the needs of 8 million people.

Other cities place consumer / customer needs as a priority, not the desire of the employess to have a lay in bed on sunday morning.
