10th Festival of German Films

gff.jpgThe Curzon cinema on Shaftesbury Avenue is hosting London’s 10th Festival of German Films from 23-29 November. The festival includes feature films, shorts and documentaries with the opening film called Eight Miles High, the story of 1960s German fashion model and sex symbol Uschi Obermaier who had affairs with Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

Among the films in the documentary section German Dox are Full Metal Village, about Germany’s equivalent of Glastonbury, and Pool of Princesses which features four girls from Berlin looking for love. Tickets can be booked online at the Curzon Soho website, which has a special offer of 5 tickets for £30. The Curzon Soho is on Shaftesbury Avenue near Greek Street. Map
