African design on show in London

africa.jpgThe Oxo Tower’s gallery@oxo has a new exhibition starting next week called BAD:Best of African Design - 100% Zulu which shows a selection of work by some of the most prominent comtemporary designers and artists from the KwaZulu-Natal region of South Africa.

The work on show includes items from painters, sculptors, printmakers and artits working with wood, wire and beaded items. BAD is curated by the African Millennium Foundation and the African Art Centre of Durban. The show runs from 26 July-26 August 2007 and admission is free. The gallery@oxo is open daily from 11am-6pm and is located on the ground floor of the Oxo Tower building, just to the west of Blackfriars Bridge. Map
