2 April - Shine a Light Director Martin Scorsese is a longtime Rolling Stones fan having used their songs in many of his movies over the last four decades, Gimme Shelter was used in Taxi Driver, Goodfellas and The Departed. Shine A Light is a concert documentary filmed in late 2006 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City with the Stones performing with guests including Jack White from The White Stripes and Christina Aguilera. The London premiere is at the Odeon Leicester Square and the band and Martin Scorsese should be in attendence.
8 April - Leatherheads A romantic sports comedy set around a 1920s American football team starring and directed by George Clooney and co-starring Renee Zellweger, this is the thrid movie Clooney has directed and looks like it could be fun.The premiere takes place at the Odeon Leicester Square.
13 April - Flashbacks of a Fool Daniel Craig (007) stars in what looks like a lower budget film about a fading Hollywood actor looking back on his youth and facing up to the ghosts from the past. The Empire Cinema, Leicester Square will host the UK premiere.
21 April - Three and Out British comedy about an Underground train driver who accidently kills two people who fall under his train in a month. Told if he’s involved in another fatality he’ll be let go by the company with a large payoff, he looks for a volunteer to be his third to let him get his hands on the money. Stars Mackenzie Crook and Colm Meaney and premieres at the Odeon Leicester Square.
24 April - Iron Man Robert Downey Jr stars as the Marvel Comics superhero Iron Man, the story of a billionaire genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon but instead makes a high-tech suit of armour and sets out to protect the world. The cats also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges, and is directed by Jon Favreau. The odeon Leicester Square will have the premiere.
