Chelsea Physic Garden Winter Openings

London’s Chelsea Physic Garden is having a couple of special winter opening weekends in February. Normally open from March to October the Physic Garden is having what its calling Snowdrop Days on 2-3 and 9-10 February, from 10am-4pm each day.

Chelsea Physic Garden is the second oldest botanic garden in England, founded in 1673 by the Society of Apothecaries to promote the study of botany and the use of plants in medicine and healing. Located on Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea close to the River Thames, its divided into a number of different gardens including the Pharmaceutical Garden which displays plants which yield therapeutic compounds and the Garden of World Medicine which demonstrates the uses of plants by different native peoples around the world.

Admission for the winter opening days is £7 and the vistors enter by the entrance on Swan Walk which runs off Royal Hospital Road. Map
