Gandhi London Walk


gandhi.jpgThere’s a new guided walk of London that’s just started which explore’s parts of the city associated with Mahatma Gandhi’s time in the capital.

Gandhi first came to London to study law at University College London between 1888-91, lived in various locations around the city and spent a lot of time exploring it on foot. Over the years he visited London again on a number of occasions, the last in 1931 and this walk oragnised by the London Walk company traces all the important locations and events of Gandhi’s time here.

Gandhi’s London:A Walk takes place once or twice a month on Saturday afternoons. They start outside Temple Underground station and take around 3 hours, no advance booking is necessary and tickets cost £6. Here are the latest dates when the walk is schedule to happen.

18 August - 3pm
8 September - 3pm
2 October - 2pm Special Walk on Mahatma Gandhi Birthday and United Nations Peace Day
27 October - 3pm
