hat.jpgThe month long Holloway Arts Festival is holding their Big Day Out this Saturday 7 July from 1.30pm-6pm in Whittington Park on the Holloway Road, just down from Archway. The Big Day Out is a free outdoor event featuring music, dance and theatre with local and international artists and performers.

Among the acts lined up are Colombian Folk band Bombele Orchestra and La Chica Latina, lesbian and gay choir The Pink Singers, Islington based rap group London Urban Collective, and there are dance lessons presented by Sadler’s Wells Theatre including Samba, Lindy Hop and Egyptian dance. The whole thing starts with the Funky Junk Fashion Carnival Procession at 1.30pm and there are arts and crafts zones, and a Circus Skills Workshop among many other activities. Archway on the Northern Line is the closest Underground station.
