2007 is the year of the tenth anniversary of the death of Princess Diana in a car crash in Paris. Kensington Palace, her former home from 1981-1997, is holding a special exhibition called Diana - a Princess remembered to mark the occasion.
It’s an audiovisual exhibition that charts her life from pre-marriage days through joining the Royal Family, divorce and her later work for charities. The exhibition has the largest collection of Diana photos on show this year as well as interviews with people who knew her such as designers Elizabeth Emanuel, Bruce Oldfield and David Sassoon, photographers Jayne Fincher, Tim Graham, Arthur Edwards and Ian Jones, and representatives of the charities she supported talk about the work she did for them.
Diana - a Princess remembered is on until January 2008 and entry is included as part of the Kensington Palace admission ticket which costs £12. Kensington Palace is open to visitors daily from 10am-6pm until 31 October, then from 10am-5pm until 28 February. The nearest Tube is High Street Kensington. Map
