Kenwood House, the 18th century stately home on the eastern side of Hampstead Heath, is holding a new season of summer Picnic Concerts this year, tickets for which are now on sale.
The house is set in a lovely secluded part of the Heath with expansive lawns and a lake in front of it and if the weather’s fine should be an ideal place to watch a gig. There are eight concerts from late June to the middle of August, each starting at 7.30pm on a Saturday evening with tickets priced from £22-£27. Below is the lineup for the Kenwood House Picnic Concerts.
28 June - Brian Wilson The Beach Boys legend and his ten piece band open the season.
5 July - Rufus Wainwright The singer/songwriter who Elton John called the ‘the greatest songwriter on the planet’.
12 July - Kenwood Summer Prom The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra performs pieces from Mozart, Rossini, Wagner, Elgar and Gershwin.
19 July - Omara Portoundo A star of the Buena Vista Social Club performs traditional and contemporary Cuban music.
2 August - Michael Ball and Lesley Garrett The West End and Broadway stars perform favourite songs and arias.
9 August - Diana Krall Grammy award winning singer (Mrs Elvis Costello) performs.
16 August - Van Morrison The Irish legend with the back catalogue of classic songs should put on a great show.
23 August - Katherine Jenkins Last Night of the Proms The beautiful Welsh singer ends the season with what should be a great show.

how dare you describe Diana Krall one of ,if not THE best female singer in the world today as mrs.Elvis Costello.HER name alone is all that is required on any line up,after all Michael Ball is not billed as Cathy McGowan`s husband.
good luck with your shows, really good varied selection of artists.maybe I am bitter because she is not appearing at the Liverpool Arena, but we do have Michael Buble and that`s fine by me.
