Next week the 14th London Australian Film Festival starts at the Barbican Centre from 6-16 March. The festival includes the latest Australian feature films, shorts and documentaries, and has a gala opening with a screening of the acclaimed 2007 film set in Queensland called Unfinished Sky by director Peter Duncan.
Other festival films include Bra Boys, the most commercially successfully Australian documentary ever, about a surfing tribe from the south Sydney suburbs and which is narrated by Russell Crowe, Noise a 2007 crime drama directed by Matthew Saville, and Two Hands, a 1999 film starring a 20 year old Heath Ledger as a hustler in Sydney’s Kings Cross area, which is being shown in his memory.
Here’s the full list of festival films and bookings are now being taken with tickets costing £8.50, £6 for members. The Barbican Centre is located on Silk Street in the City of London with Barbican or Moorgate being the nearest Tube Stations. Map
