tattoo.jpgThe 3rd London Tattoo Convention takes place this weekend 5-7 October at the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, East London. The event features 150 of the best tattoo artists from the UK and around the world and is sure to draw a big crowd given that tattoos seem more popular than ever with seemingly every footballer and popstar getting some ink done and the adoring public following suit.

Going to the convention gives you the chance to get a tattoo from one of the top artists in the business and also enjoy international DJs and a state of the art light show, take part in tattoo contests every day if you’ve had a little bit of work done and check out the Art Fusion Camp where the best tattooists mix styles and ideas. There’s an Anthropological Exhibition looking at the tattoo styles, techniques and traditions from different countries, the Les Soeurs Tribales female dancing group and Evan Seinfeld and porn star Tera Patrick from the US tv show SuperGroup.

The London Tattoo Convention is open Fri 2pm-11pm, Sat 11am-11pm and Sun 11am-7.30pm, tickets are £15 or £40 for a three day pass. The Old Truman Brewery is on Brick Lane near the junction with Buxton Street, Aldgate East and Liverpool Street are the nearest Tube stations. Map
