London Triathlon and Expo

tri.jpgExCel London in Docklands is the centre for the Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon events taking place this weekend 4-5 August and is also holding the London Triathlon Expo. The Triathlon has attracted around 11,000 competitors and has Super Sprint, Sprint and Team races on Saturday, and Olympic and Elite racing on Sunday.

On 4 August race events begin at 11am with the Male Super Sprint and carry on until the last event of the day the Sprint Team Relay starts at 5pm. On Sunday the first classes start at 6.30am and different groups continually start until the last at 3.40pm.

The Expo, which is free to enter, has dozens of different exhibitors selling every thing you could possibly need to take part in a Triathlon from food, nutrition, health and energy drinks to bikes, wetsuits and information on places to train. The Expo is open from 9am-7pm Sat, 8am-7pm Sun. The ExCel is located next to the Royal Victoria Dock nin east London and Custom House on the Doclands Light Railway is the closest station. Map
