Fans of the Lord of the Rings movies should get along to the BFI IMAX in Waterloo where they are having screenings of all the films including an all-nighter where the three will be shown back to back.
The BFI IMAX is the largest cinema screen in the UK and films are shown in 2D, 3D and IMAX DMR. Its located just over Waterloo Bridge in the middle of a roundabout on Waterloo Road very close to Waterloo station, it can seat around 470.
The all-nighter is on 17th March (St Patrick’s Day) and starts at 8pm with The Fellowship of the Ring followed by The Two Towers at 11.30pm and Return of the King at 3am. Tickets are £25, there’s a 30 minute break between the films and the scheduled finish is around 6.20pm. The IMAX will be providing free tea and coffee through the night and snacks and alcohol will also be on sale. They’re having a series of prize draws and are inviting customers to come dressed as their favourite Lord of the Rings character.
