Olympia Shows

There are two shows opening at Olympia in West London this week, both on the 23 November and both involving the human body. The Yoga Show, 23-25 November, describes itself as ‘the total Yoga and Pilates experience under one roof.’ It offers more than 200 exhibition stands covering all aspects of Yoga, Pilates, Ayurveda and naturally healthy products whether you’re looking for mats, bags, clothing, teacher training or yoga holidays.

There are free open pilates and yoga classes, demonstrations, workshops, a pilates studio and equipment area, and children’s yoga sessions. The Yoga Show is at Olympia’s National Hall, open 11am-5pm Fri, 10am-6pm Sat-Sun. A one-day adult pass is £7 Fri, £10 Sat-Sun, a two day pass £16 and a three day pass £22.

Once you’ve relaxed your body you may be ready for Olympia’s other show of the week, Erotica. This is also on 23-25 November but in Olympia’s Grand Hall. An adult lifestyle show whose exhibitors offer lingerie, club-wear, leatherwear, rubber and fetish clothing, magazines, videos, tattooing, piercing, beauty and cosmetics, as well as a large art gallery that includes paintings, sculpture and photography. There’s also a central stage and catwalk on the ground floor where dancers and models will be performing. Be aware that the event is a media magnet with lots of tv crews and photographers roaming about, just in case you don’t want to be spotted.

Erotica is open 12pm-10pm Fri-Sat, 12pm-8pm Sun. Tickets cost £17-£22. Kensington Olympia on the District Line is the nearest Tube.
