Open Air Beatles and Soul

pitp.jpgIf you like the sound of seeing some classic old tunes performed live but aren’t so crazy about paying over £100 for the privilege, why not get down to Crystal Palace Bowl on the next two Saturdays for two more shows in their Pops in the Park season.

This coming Saturday 18 August The Bootleg Beatles, one of the best Beatles tribute bands, will be playing pretty much all their greatest songs in a show starting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £19.50 for the grassed picnic area or £25 for the deckchair area.

The following Saturday 25 August to honour the 40th anniversary of the first UK joint Stax/Atlantic Records tour and the 50th Anniversary of the foundation of Stax Records, the producers and performers of the West End shows Dancing in the Streets and The Rat Pack - Live from Las Vegas will put on a show called Sweet Soul Music featuring the greatest hits of Stax/Atlantic artists such as Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sam Cooke, Ben E King, Sam & Dave, James Brown, Booker T & The MG’s and many more. It also starts at 7.30pm with tickets £19.50 and £25.

Crystal Palace Bowl is in south London, about four miles to the southwest of Greenwich, the nearest train stations are Crystal Palace, Penge West and Sydenham. Map
