Somerset House on the north bank of the River Thames next to Waterloo Bridge is using its large central fountain courtyard to stage a series of open air movie screenings this month under the title Film4 Summer Screen.
A state-of-the-art giant screen with 35mm projection and surround-sound is being installed in the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court for the film showings that run on consecutive nights between 2-11 August. Tickets cost £12.50, £15 for the Friday night double bills, and can be bought online or on 0870 4000 603 from Ticketmaster, or some are available from the Courtauld Gallery Shop at Somerset House.
Doors open at 6.30pm, they’ll be DJs playing from 7.30pm and the films will start at 9.15pm. Here’s what Film4 Summer Screen has on offer.
