Photographs by Uganda’s refugee children

uganda.jpgNext week the gallery@oxo, on the ground floor of the Oxo Tower building along the banks of the Thames near Gabriel’s Wharf, has a short two week photographic exhibition called Through the Eyes of Children:Life as a Refugee in Uganda.

Its the result of a project where 60 refugee children were given cameras to document their lives and show the reality of life in a refugee camp. The kids involved received some photography coaching from National Geographic photographers as well as supportive workshops. You can see their efforts at the gallery@oxo from 14 June-1 July, admission is free and the gallery is open daily from 11am-7.30pm.
