Pig’s Ear Beer and Cider Festival

Hackney’s Ocean music venue is host to the 24th Pig’s Ear Beer and Cider Festival starting tomorrow from 4-8 December. Organized by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) the festival features over 100 real ales and ciders, this year including a range of beers from micro and small regional breweries in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

There’s also a full selction of German beers such as Rauchs, Bocks (strong seasonal beers) light and dark lagers and Düsseldorf Alt beers, as well as draught beers from the Netherlands and Belgium. The British beers and ciders on offer come from breweries all over England and Wales.

The Pig’s Ear Festival is open 12noon-22.30 Tues-Thurs, 12noon-11pm Fri and 12noon-10pm Sat. Tickets are £2 CAMRA members, £4 non-members and students get in for free. Ocean is located at 270 Mare Street in Hackney, opposite the town hall. Map
