WBC Light-Welterweight Championship Britain’s Junior Witter defends his world title against Mexican Arturo Morua at Alexandra Palace in north London on Saturday night, 20 January. The 32 year old Witter has lost only one of his 36 fights and is looking to get a shot at Fellow Briton Ricky Hatton who defends his IBF title in Las Vegas on the same night. Tickets from £40-£200, the show begins at 6.30pm. The nearest tube is Wood Green, the overground Alexandra Palace station is a bit nearer.
Cabbages and Frocks Market Located at the top end of trendy Marylebone High Street, Cabbages and Frocks describes itself as a upscale lifestyle market and you can tell it is because the market food on offer is not greasy burgers but Moroccan bedouin food and organic homemade macaroons and petits fours. Soul Family Sunday at Ronnie Scotts A monthly night at the most famous jazz venue in London featuring American Natalie Williams and her band and guest appearances by some of the best souls and jazz pewrformers. This weekend, 21 January, she’s joined by Jamie Cullum and Nate James. Ronnie Scotts is on Frith Street in Soho, the nearest Tubes are Tottenham Court Road or Leicester Square, tickets are £15.
