This year’s Portobello Film Festival is on and running until 21 August featuring over 700 independent film productions, most from London but some from around the world. They are being screened at various locations in the Notting Hill area and the good news is all events are free to enter.
There’s a wide range of types and styles of films to see and it starts tonight at 6pm with an Official Launch Party at the Westbourne Studios including top magicians Richard McDougall and Paul Kieve, who does the magic on the Harry Potter films, and at 8pm a special screening of The Future Is Unwritten, director Julien Temple’s biographic film of Joe Strummer.
Here’s the full schedule for the festival and the main venues where the screenings are taking place.
