A new exhibition opens at the Imperial War Museum in London next week commemorating British servicemen who have been killed in the Iraq War. Called Queen and Country it features facsimile pictures of stamps, each with photographic portraits of a soldier killed in Iraq and the standard image of the Queen in one corner.
The pictures were produced by artist Steve McQueen who contacted 115 families of military personnel killed in action to see if they were willing to take part. Those agreeing chose the picture of their deceased family to be used. Queen and Country opens from 25 September-6 January with the Imperial War Museum open daily from 10am-6pm. Its located on Lambeth Road about half a mile south of Westminster Bridge. Map
