Real Food Festival

realfoodfest.jpgFood lovers and anyone who enjoys cooking should get along to Earls Court this week for the Real Food Festival 2008. The event has invited 500 of the best small food and drink producers from the UK and around the world who will on hand to explain and answer questions about their produce as well as sell it.

Among the other show attractions are the biggest farmer’s market in Britain, food workshops and tastings, sustainable food guru Barny Houghton running a cookery school, and top chefs giving demonstrations in the Real Food Theatre where sessions are free on a first come, first served basis.

Along with the food produce they’ll be a fantastic selection of wines, beers and ciders with over 40 different producers on hand with samples, items to buy and details of what they sell. Other features of the Real Food Festival include a small selection of top restaurants serving some of their signature dishes, and the Real Food Debate where a panel of experts will answer the question Is Cheap Food Costing The Earth?

The Real Food Festival is on from 24-27 April, 10am-6pm (7pm Sat 26th) with tickets costing £15 advance, £18 on the door. Its taking place in Earsl Court One withe Earls Court on the District Line the nearest Tube station. Map
