Shaolin Kung Fu in London

The monks of China’s Shaolin Temple are back in the UK to give a demonstration of their legendary kung fu techniques, this time performing Kung Fu Masters Live at Sadlers Wells’ Peacock Theatre from 10 October-3 November.

The show features 20 monks and 5 trainees breaking bricks with their hands, blocks with their heads, getting held aloft on pointed spears and generally showing they’ve got what it takes to kick Jean Claude Van Damme’s butt. The years of training, speed, strength and skill that the monks have got should make it a really entertaining show.

There are daily performances at 7.30pm from Tues-Sun with matinees on Sat-Sun at 3pm, the shows last around 2 hours. Tickets cost £13-£16. Sadlers Wells Peacock Theatre is in Holborn not far from the London School of Economics. Holborn is the nearest Tube. Map
