Somerset House, the imposing 18th century building with the huge central courtyard on the banks of the Thames next to Waterloo Bridge, has announced the lineup for their annual Summer Series of open air concerts this July.
The concerts will take place on 10 consecutive nights this summer and although the support acts haven’t been confirmed the headliners include some of the biggest British acts around at the moment such as Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and Mika.
Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster this Thursday 19 April at 9am and cost £22.50-£25. The full Summer Series is schedule is as follows;

13 July–Kasabian
14th July-Bert Jansch with Beth Orton and Bernard Butler
15th July–Guillemots
16th July–Lily Allen
17th July–Mika
18th July–Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
19th July–The Roots
20th July–Amy Winehouse
21st July–Hot Chip
Somerset House should be a great place to see a show especially on a warm summer evening and the nice thing is, once its over you’re about a minute or two’s walk from Covent Garden. Their full Summer Series website should be up soon.
