The Design Grotto at Somerset House

The Portico Rooms at Somerset House are holding a unique Christmas event this weekend, 15-16 December, when the Design Grotto will be open for all the family to attend. The Grotto has interactive stalls that visitors can get involved with and meet the makers of the products they’re selling, workshops and one of a kind or limited edition gifts for under £20.

Admission to the Design Grotto is free and its open from 6pm-11pm Sat, 11am-6pm Sun. If you’re looking for a one off individual present it might be worth stopping by, some of the stalls include 10 Second Christmas Fondle by Beyond the Valley, Crafty Creatures by Donna Wilson, Postability by johnson banks, Craft It Up! by Lady Luck Rules OK, Mrs Kibble’s Olde Sweet Shoppe, Santa Stop Here by Tatty Devine and many more.

Somerset House is on the Strand near to Waterloo Bridge and its inner courtyard has a Christmas ice rink in a fantastic location. Map
