The 30th Great British Beer Festival is on at Earl’s Court One from 7-11 August with over 500 real ales for visitors to try, last year the festival attracted 65,00 people and this year it should be even more.
If you’re atround west London on the 7th August keep your eyes out for on eof the 1,000 special ballons that the festival is releasing. They each have a ticket which entitles the finder to a prize, either one of thirty 30th Birthday Gift Boxes, 30 free entries to the Beer Festival or 940 Festival drinks vouchers.
Among the things to check out at the festival apart from necking plenty of real ale are the Cider and Perry bar with a wide range of drinks made from apples and pears, Tutored Tastings such as World Explorer with beers from around the world, Appetizers for Ale let’s you try some of the food that goes best with beer, and the Beer Academy among others. There’s also a full programme of live music during the festival to keep the party mood going.
Tickets for the Great British Beer Festival are £8 Tues-Fri, 7-10 August and £6 Sat 11 August. Its open to the public from 5.30pm-10.30pm Tues, 12noon-10.30pm Wed-Fri and 11am-7pm Sat. Earl’s Court on the Piccadilly and District Lines is the nearest Tube. Map
