Space and Violence - Linde Ludena Sierra This a show by a German/Spanish art collective that looks at the vulnerability of modern human existence and how minimal disturbances can produce complex effects. The exhibition takes place at the Nunnery Gallery, 181 Bow Road in the East End, part of the Bow Arts Trust, the building is a former Carmelite Nunnery and an adjacent factory is also a gallery run by the Trust. Its on from 30 March-5 May and admission is free. Its open Thurs-Sat from 1-5pm.

Ascot Race Course Beer Festival What could be better, a beer festival along with an afternoon of quality horseracing. Ascot is one of the premier race tracks in Britain and reopened last year after spending £200million on redevelopment including a fantastic new grandstand. The beer festival is organised by the Campaign For Real Ale(Camra) and will feature over 50 cask ales from local micro brewers. Its on tomorrow 30 March, the beer festival starts at 11am and the first race is at 2.20pm, tickets are £10. Trains run from London Waterloo to Ascot station, take just over 40 minutes and its about a 7 minute walk to the race course.

25/25 The Design Museum is 25 years old and to celebrate they’ve invited 25 designers and people with a special interest in the subject to select 25 objects that best represent design in the last quarter of a century. Among those choosing items are Terence Conran, architect Richard Rogers, fashion designer Paul Smith and James Dyson. 25/25 is on from 29 March-22 June. The Design Museum is on Shad Thames not far from Tower Bridge, admission to the museum is £7.

London Glassblowing Spring 2007 Open Weekend If you’re looking for a piece of handcrafted decorative glassblown art you may find something special at this free event at London Glassblowing, a working glass studio and exhibition space on Weston Street behind London Bridge station. There’s a sale of their products, glass blowing demonstrations and refreshments available. This event runs from 30 March -1 April, open 11am-5pm each day.
