U2 have been probably the biggest band in the world for the last two decades and have earned a reputation as one of the must see live acts. They’ve released concert films before such as Rattle and Hum and have a new one out in 2008 which is meant to be excellent.
U2 3D was shot during the group’s Vertigo tour of South America when over 100 hours of footage was shot using the largest number of 3D cameras ever used on a single project. London’s BFI IMAX cinema will be screening U2 3D in a run from 20 February-3 April and are now taking bookings. Adult tickets are £8.50 and the IMAX is located on Charlie Chaplin Walk close to Waterloo Station.
