The 2007 UK Jewish Film Festival starts this week running from 3-15 November. Films are being screened at ten cinemas in and around London including The Screen on the Hill in Belsize Park, the Everyman in Hampstead, the Vue West End, the ICA, and the Odeons at Swiss Cottage, Richmond and South Woodford.
The diverse programme features films from Israel, the UK, US, France, Canada, Mexico and Brazil and includes documentaries, shorts and feature films from the present day all the way back to the 1930s. There’s a gala opening at the Vue West End with a screening of the 2007 film The Band’s Visit, tickets for which, including a reception at the Vue Bar, cost £75 available only in advance. Tickets for most of the other screenings in the festival are priced between £8-£12.
