UK Mobile Phone Throwing Championships 2007

The UK Mobile Phone Throwing Championships take place in west London this Sunday 12 August, your chance to start next week as a national champion as these championships are open to anyone who’s currently living in the UK.

The event is taking place at Old Hamptonians Rugby Club, about two miles to the west of Twickenham. Entry costs £5 which gives you three throws with the regulation mobile phones that are provided, if you’re not from the UK you can still throw and try and break your country’s national record. Current marks that you’ll have to match up to are the Mens World Record of 94.97m, the UK Mens record at 92.30m, and the Womens World Record of 41.42m.

The championships run from 2pm-7pm and you have to be over 18 to take part. Old Hamptonians Rugby Club is at Dean Road, Hampton Hill, TW12 1AQ (Map), the nearest train stations are Fulwell and Hampton.
