London Art Fair Taking place at the Business Design Centre in Islington from 17-21 January with 100 UK galleries showing work by over 1800 modern and contemporary artists. There are talks and discussions, exhibitions of art projects from different galleries and a large photography section. Tickets are £10 advance, £12.50 on the door. Its open 11am-9pm 17-18 Jan, 11am-7pm 19-20 Jan, and 11am-5pm 21 Jan.
Vive la France It calls itself A Taste Of France In The Heart Of London and you can get a taste from the 19-21 January at Olympia in west London. Its divided into four sections The French Food and Wine Show, The French Lifestyle and Culture Show, The French Travel and Tourism Show, and The French Property Exhibition, everything a Francophile could want. Tickets cost £8 advance or £12 on the door.
London Flower Show Get to see some colour at this exhibition of winter flowering plants and evergreen shrubs organised by the Royal Horticultural Society at their halls on Greycoat Street, between Victoria and Westminster. Its on from 16-17 January and tickets cost £5 on the 16th and £3 on the 17th, RHS members go free.
Exceptional Youth An on going photographic exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery that runs until April, featuring portraits by photographer Emma Hardy of some the brightest and best teenage talents in the UK at the moment from actor Daniel Radcliffe to footballer Theo Walcott. The National Portrait Gallery is in StMartin’s Place near Trafalgar Square and is open daily from 10am-6pm.
Street Dance for Beginners Fed up with the jogging machine, then try learning the latest hip-hop and rap video moves at The Latin Quarter dance studios in Euston, just north of Warren Street Tube. Classes from 6-7pm.
