World DJ Championships

dj.jpgThe indigO2, the O2 Arena’s state of the art music venue, is hosting the DMC World DJ Championships next weekend 6-7 October when some of the world’s best exponents on the turntable go head to head.

There are solo and team events with eliminations in the solo competition lasting 3 minutes and the final 6. The team event is for teams of 2, 3 or 4 using up to six turntables. First prize for the solo winner is are Technics Golden Turntables and Mixer, an Ortofon Gold/Diamond Tipped Stylus and $10,000, while the winning team gets $10,000.

The competitions start at 5pm on Saturday 6 October and 7pm on Sunday 7 October, tickets are £15. Over the weekend they’ll also be performances by 4ONEPHONICS feat. D-STYLES & MIKE BOO and DJ CO-MA, the DMC World Supremacy Champion 2006. The O2 Arena is in North Greenwich near the south entrance to the Blackwall Tunnel. Map
