Tickets are still available for the Davis Cup Tennis World Group play-off tie between Great Britain and Croatia on the 21-23 September. The match is taking place on the No.1 Court at Wimbledon, only the fourth time in 30 years the Davis Cup has been played there and the winning country in this match gets a place in the elite 16 nation division of the Davis Cup while the loser goes into the Euro/Africa zone group one.
A Davis Cup tie involves four singles matches and a doubles match and countries normally select four players, two to play in singles and a doubles pair. Britain’s team for the Croatia match will be made up of Tim Henman, Andy Murray (both singles), and Jamie Murray and Jamie Baker (doubles). This will be Henman’s last competitive tennis before he retires. Croatia haven’t announced their team yet but have players like Mario Ancic and Ivan Ljubicic to call on.
Tickets can be bought from Ticketmaster online or by phone at 0870 1451180
