Squeezing the travelling public

By BootsnAll | August 19th, 2003 | 2 Comments »

Tube fares are to rise 25% in central London in January.
Ken Livingstone justify’s this by saying people getting on the tube in central London are probably wealthy or a tourist, so its ok to screw them.
It’s no surprise he hates people who have money but why start making London more expensive for visitors.
It already costs [...]

SuuuuWeee!!!

Those good ol’boys down deepest, darkest east London have been at it again.
Scaring the livestock that is, and anybody who happens to be passing.
Not speaking from any great knowledge, but how much can a hooker cost in London these days.
With the huge influx from eastern Europe into the sex trade you must be able to [...]

A Close Call

Here’s the news we all dreaded to hear.
Let’s hope Mr Blair will throw the full might of the government into ensuring this can never happen again.

Heatwave

Its too damn hot, bring back the rain.
The temperature has reached record levels in the UK this week, but the problem is we’re not geared up for this weather either at home or in the workplace and most cars don’t have a/c, so its a case of sweat it out.
If all you have do is [...]

Get back in those cars

Another case of ‘you couldn’t make it up’.
TfL (Transport for London or Total f**king Lunatics) are giving £31 million of taxpayers money to Capita, the private company that runs the congestion charge, because they’re not making enough profit.
Seems as though too many people have stopped driving into the congestion zone and that’s thrown a spanner [...]

You're the world's biggest brain but confined to a wheelchair, so what do you do on your night off? Head for the lapdancing club of course. Nice one, Professor.

Another cash cow

Since 9/11 there's been some discussion here about introducing id cards. There’s no complusory photo id in Britain, you could go through your whole life without having something with a picture on it to prove who you are.
My original driving licence is about A4 size, with a name and address on it and lasts for [...]

'We'll keep the Red Flag…..in a draw'

By BootsnAll | July 5th, 2003 | Comments Off

Left wing Labour MP's and Union leaders want the Labour party to return to traditional socialist policies or they’ll or lose the next election.
These people are still as deluded as ever.
The only reason Labour ended eighteen years of Conservative government in 1997 was because Blair dropped anything remotely socialist from his agenda and had all [...]

Show me the way to go home

By BootsnAll | July 3rd, 2003 | 1 Comment »

This is the best use of technology I've heard of in a long while, that with a little modification would make finding your way home from the local after a big session, trouble free.
What would the lamppost say to ‘I really love you’.

London's finest

By BootsnAll | June 23rd, 2003 | Comments Off

We've been constantly told a terrorist attack is imminent on Britain, it's only a matter of time. Judging by the performance of Scotland Yard over the weekend, it should be a walk in the park for the Al Qaeda boys.
A private birthday party for Prince Willliam at Windsor Castle. Hundreds of police and security people [...]
