There was a story this week about about Catholic churches across Britain starting the traditional Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve a few hours early this year because of the problem of drunks rolling out of the pub and into the church, disrupting proceedings and people trying to enjoy the service.

This weekend one of the most well known churches in London, St Martin-in-the-Fields, reopens to the public after a £36 million renewal project aimed at making the church that was built in 1726 able to cope with all the things it’s used for in the 21st century.
