London has activities to suit just about every taste: music, theatre, comedy, clubbing and shopping are just some of its draws, and it has all of this and more in great abundance. Whether you’re looking for entertainment for adults or the whole family, London will have something wonderful on offer to fill your days.

In the last two decades London comedy clubs have come into their own and become an extremely popular way to spend a night out. Here is a selection of some of the best and busiest right now. Being such a major city London always has a good number of top comedians in town at any one time.

Free Things to Do in London
Despite its reputation as one of the most expensive cities in Europe, London is chock full of free activities, from museums and cultural landmarks to music, comedy, gorgeous parks and more.

London Markets
London offers markets for almost all types of product from clothes and fine food to flowers, bootleg dvds and stolen bicycles. Farmers markets have sprung up and become very popular in the last decade and antiques and craft markets attract crowds like they always have. Music Venues
There can’t be a major music act in the world past or present that hasn’t played a London gig at some point. The latest hot venue is the O2 Arena, the revamped Millennium Dome which has recently seen a Led Zeppelin one off show, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band as well as Prince performing there for almost three weeks. Shopping
London is a shoppers paradise, the exchange rate may not make it a bargain but the range of choice in shops will always make the city a must for anyone who likes getting out and spending some money. If its clothes you’re after all the top designers will have stores here, there are large department stores including the world famous Harrods in Knightsbridge and mega shopping malls like Bluewater in southeast London.

Sports Venues
For visitors who’d like to take in a football, cricket rugby or tennis game/match while they’re in town, there’s good news beyond the sheer wealth of athletic talent in town: London has some of the premier sports venues in Europe.

Theatre
Together with New York London probably has the most extensive and vibrant theatre scene in the world, whether its new plays, classics, musicals or one off shows there is always something worth seeing and an amazing range of theatre to see them in.

Theme Parks
You might not associate London with theme parks and rollercoaster rides but there are a number of parks located just beyond the perimeter of London or within easy reach.
