The new Robert Zemeckis directed film Beowulf is based upon the famous 3,182 line 9th centuty English poem and the battles of the warrior hero Beowulf. It’s a digitally enhanced live action movie whose cast includes Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins, Ray Winstone, John Malkovich, Robin Wright Penn and Brendan Gleeson.
The BFI IMAX cinema in Waterloo is holding a week of 3D Beowulf screenings from 16-22 November with four showings each day over the weekend and two or three each day during the week.
Tickets cost £8-£12. The BFI IMAX is located at 1 Charlie Chaplin Walk, Waterloo, very close to Waterloo Station. Map
