Still gutted about last night’s game between Arsenal and Barcelona in Paris. After we started the better team in the first twenty minutes I really felt Arsenal could do it, but once Lehmann was sentoff you knew it was going to be almost mission impossible against the best team in the world.
You can’t argue with the red card for Lehmann, Eto’o skipped past him and Lehmann’s grabbed his ankle, but I think if we’d kept eleven men for the whole game the way Arsenal started showed we could have won.
You can’t fault the effort of the nine outfield players for 70 minutes after the sending off, they ran themselves into the ground and if Henry had scored when he was put through when it was still 1-0 late in the game Barca would have been buried.
Once they got to 2-1 after 80 minutes you could see there was no way back, the Arsenal players had nothing left in the tank.
Just wonder if this will have been our best chance for a long time to win the Champions League.
