Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Oh yes, life is sweet, at least for this weekend.
And if the winning goal comes off a wicked deflection over Kasey Keller, that makes it all the better.

Beating the muppets from down the road is becoming a nice habit and always gives me a lift.
Top of the league, four points clear and we’re not even playing that well, what a team.

I watched this game at Stadium Cafe in Kuta on Saturday night. It was agony until the equalizer and wonderful when Arsenal got the winner. Most of the people sitting around me were from Jakarta and appeared to be Arsenal fans too.

I was fantasizing the other day that if I was ever in Roman Abramovich’s position I’d buy Spurs and make it my mission to get them to the 3rd division by using a combo of no budget and hiring the worst players and manager. Money down the drain….but how sweet the gurgling!

Apparently Spurs were one of the clubs he looked at buying before he settled on Chelsea.

There is a god.

Chris,

I was looking at getting Arsenal tickets between 25th Dec and-2nd Jan, and was wondering, 1st, if tickets are available, and 2nd, what the procedure is to get tickets - I am visiting London from America during that time frame, and am unfamiliar with ticketing practices, day-of-game ticket releases, etc…any advice would be welcome!

Tony the only game Arsenal have at home during your dates is against Wolves on Dec 26th.
This is a public holiday in the UK and traditionally a big day for going to football games, so chances are this game will be sold out pretty soon.

Here’s some info from the Arsenal.com site, they’re got various membership schemes running for non season ticket holders, so some of this might not help you.
I’ve called for general tickets on sale a month or so before the game if I wanted a ticket and usually get something.
They’ll definitely be touts/scalpers selling on the day, and if you can wait till close to kickoff the ticket won’t be much over face value.

From http://www.Arsenal.com

You can book tickets for Arsenal home games in any of these four ways…

In person

Office hours are 9.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday, and 9.30am - 12 noon Saturday mornings (personal callers to the Stadium only), when there is no first team match. Please note: In the event that a Saturday first team home fixture is moved to the Sunday, the Box Office will be closed on the Saturday.

On-line
Members of the Ticket Registration Scheme can click here to book their tickets online. On-line booking is NOT available for members of the family enclosure. If you have any queries or questions about online ticket sales contact Ticketmaster on 0870 380 0232.
