A pretty fair result in the biggest Premiership game of the season so far.
Arsenal got the perfect start with a brillant goal by Henry in the second minute but twice Chelsea scored from headers in the box, how much would Arsene Wenger give for a Tony Adams, Martin Keown or Steve Bould right now because at the moment Arsenal’s defence really struggles with high balls.
Chelsea controlled the middle third of the match and you saw the difference in squad depths in this game.
Arsenal had Vieira (suspended), Gilberto and Edu(injured) missing and they started the game with Fabregas 17, Flamini 20, and Reyes 20 in midfield. All good players but young and inexperienced and the outfield players on the bench were aged 20, 19, 18 and 18.
The strength of Chelsea’s squad is what could win them the championship especially if Abrambovich splashes his cash again in the Januaury transfer window, its hard to see where their weak link is at the moment.
