FA Cup Final

What a glorious sight, Fergie’s face as red as Arsenal’s shirts when Patrick Vieria lifted the FA Cup in Cardiff yesterday.
Arsenal had a really poor game and its amazing watching the highlights again this morning just how many chances Man.United missed, they should have won that match by four or five goals.

There wasn’t really much anti-Glazer stuff from the United fans yesterday, a few US flags flying in the Arsenal section of the Millennium along with some Glazer face masks.

Good to end the season on a high, now Arsenal need to bring in some fresh faces before the new one starts.

Ika and I watched the Final at the new Stadium Cafe in Legian Bali. Amazing how many chances Man U missed. Arsenal were no threat at all during the game with Man U looking dangerous any time they crossed the half way line.

Arsenal’s team formation was completely wrong, they could still pass and keep control, but really had nothing in offence.

A guy from England was sitting next to us and was shouting “Go on Arsenal steal it.” and they did!

I felt the jubilation of the Arsenal players, that after taking a beating for 120 minutes they walked away with the trophy!!!

Eat that one Ferguson.

Two more comments.

Man of the Match award (MVP), you choose.

1) Wayne Rooney, who after being fed ball after ball could not score in 120 minutes.

2) Jens Lehmann, who saved point blank shots all afternoon, including a penalty.

Secondly, during the match I really thought Reyes had been paid off by someone. No kidding. I watched him pass long balls into open space with no Arsenal players around. I saw him foul opposing players right in front of the ref, then smirk, as if trying to get sent off. When he kicked a player from behind and got a yellow I thought, ‘that’s it, he is going to get a red card and throw the game’. He did eventually get one.

Reyes said a few months ago on Spanish radio he’d love to play for Real Madrid, sooner rather than later would be better for Arsenal.
