Getting into gear

Arsenal are just starting to get a head of steam going at the right time. The fans have been waiting for the team to click and put a great run together and now they’re doing it.

Another emphatic win today, 5-0 over Aston Villa, that’s 14 goals in the last four Premiership games. No goals conceded in the last seven Champions League games, knocking out Real Madrid and hopefully Juventus on the way to the semi-finals.

The whole team has played fantastic in the last couple of weeks, Fabregas has been getting all the press, deservedly so, but Eboue, Toure and Flamini have been outstanding. Jens Lehmann must be loving life, he has nothing to do all game.

Two massive games coming up this week, the second leg in Turin against Juventus and Man.United at Old Trafford on sunday. If we can win those two, things are really set up for a great finish to the season.

You have to say that Arsenal look like the ‘in form’ team in Europe right now. I mean barring Barcelona, who would you bet on to beat them?

Watched Barcelona draw 1-1 with Real Madrid last night. Madrid aren’t great but Barca are just going off the boil a bit in their last few games and are starting to pick up a few important injuries.

Arsenal had Fabregas and Eboue go off injured yesterday but if they can come back quickly Arsenal have a real chance in the Champions League.
Playing the best they have for about eighteen months.
